The album was recorded in London, Rio de Janeiro, Chicago, Soweto (South Africa), India, the USA, Australia...and pretty much anywhere else you can think of. The song styles range from "trip-hoppy" and "powerfully hypnotic" to "rap-metal" and "rock-edged" - a very diverse mix, but with an overall calm feel. Prophesy features more than 200 musicians, including the London Community Gospel Choir, English Chamber Orchestra, a South African primary school choir, and the voice of Nelson Mandela.
