Having flexible hours at work would be a good thing.
In theory we can come and go as we please assuming that we get
40 hours (and a mule) in a given week. In practice it means if you're not hear once when someone needs you you're in trouble. Therefore everyone has this rigid "flexible" schedule where they jealously stake out times that they will be gone.
Friday afternoon is a big flex period. Between all the Muslims (80% of the workforce here) who take a three hour lunch/mosque session on Fridays and all the heathens who take two hour Friday lunches at the strip club this place is empty.
