Sheepskin is traditionally used (particularly in Scotland) to make mittens. Sheepskin mittens are to be considered a good thing, since they are so lovely and warm and snuggly. Unless you are a sheep. Also, the nearly-complete hides can be used as rugs and blankets, providing an endangered species friendly alternative to tiger skin rugs, as well as being warmer and (IMHO) looking cooler.
