A method of
publishing manga, wherein multiple stories by different artists, usually all aimed at the same
demographic, are collected and published. This is the norm for first-run publishing in
Japan, as opposed to the one-chapter-one-book method of publishing often used
the States.
Advantages: More bang for your buck. Disadvantages: I've never bought an anthology where all the stories interested me, so in some sense, I'm paying for superfluous stuff.
Some manga anthologies in Japan include:
