It is written in what is variously termed the
white style, or maybe even the
pure style. Unfortunately, for all of us anglophones, even those of us who have
aspired to being francophones, the
feel of this, the
understanding of this, is lost.
This was Albert Camus's attempt to portray "the nakedness of man faced with the absurd".
Translation isn't everything! Even in English, how can you portray facticity?!
