Donnie Yen is a well-known Chinese martial arts master and choreographer. He was born in Canton, China and moved to Boston at age 11. His mother,Bow Sim-Mark, trained him in traditonal Chinese wu-shu and tai chi. Because he got into trouble as a teenager, his mother sent him back to China where he trained with the Beijing Wu-shu Team. He also trained under the same sifu (master) as Jet Li. He began making movies in the late 1980's, and continues to direct and act today. You may be most familiar with his recently-released-in-the-US movie Iron Monkey. His fans consider the "Tiger Cage" series of movies to be his best work.

Influences: Kung-fu greats Fu Sheng, Ti Lung, Bruce Lee, and Jackie Chan.
Fighting Styles: Traditional Chinese Wu-shu and kung-fu, kickboxing, tae kwon do, and "feral fighting". (Seen in Tiger Cage!)
