fujitsu in the late
80s and early
90s.
While based on
intel's
386 and
486 processors, they _are not_
PC compatible, since it runs its own
Towns-OS.
(linux has been ported to the FM-Towns.)
its
distribution was
limited almost entirely to
Japan,
and is
almost unknown outside of that
country.
fujitsu later tried to make this
computer into a successfull
videogame console, similar to the
Amiga CD32, called the
FM Towns Marty.
