IHTFP

Being told, over and over again, in the most interesting and precise ways, that you are not nearly smart enough to hold your own among the world's best and brightest. Code that refuses to compile, hours and hours spent cursing the equations that never simplify, seeing the sunrise from the wrong side over and over again. Falling out of love with caffeine. Crowds of nerds who will consistantly wank about math with each other rather than smile at you. Should've gone to art school, dammit.

I Hate This Fvcking Place.

"Oh man, we totally have a robot that works now!" Conversations that stretch into the morning. Looking up at the stars from the roof of a large building, surrounded by your friends and silence. The final brushstroke on the mural outside your door. Giggling at something ridiculous on zephyr. Moments of connection, moments of truth and beauty and pure silliness. Putting down problem sets for five minutes to exchange hugs and encouragement. An equation finally uncurls so beautifully that you know it's right.

I Have Truly Found Paradise.
