Heliotropic
"
Daylight won’t find us here." --
Failure
Though daylight won’t find me here,
you have.
The
eternal fires of
stars glow
Lighting cobwebbed corners,
dusty lexicons
The
mountain stream is lit,
Downstream glows
red like the skin of
exhausted past loves
I’m drawn to your glow
A
sunflower pulls itself from the ground
Back into the
cave again,
Though daylight won’t find me here, you have,
And
I must tell you,
Looking though your
painless bright light,
I prefer the dark.
