The first Evangelion music album released. It contains all the greatest music from Evangelion Episodes 1 to 6. As it was the first Evangelion CD to be released in Japan and as Neon Genesis Evangelion was huge even at that early stage, the album was a big hit. The CD features the most commonly heard orchestral tracks (BGM) by Shiro Sagisu as well as the opening theme "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis (Cruel Angel's Thesis)" and two different vocal versions and one instrumental version of the ending theme "Fly Me to the Moon".
