Pyrofani:

Greek word, comes from the words Pyro- , fani- literally means the "showing of fire".

1. Refers to a big light aboard fishing boats in Greece, used for night fishing, with various methods of net usage to catch different kinds of fish.

2. For some reason a second meaning exists to the word. Pyrofani also refers to puting on fire some object like a piece of paper or a piece or rope, which is put between fingers (hand or foot) of a sleeping person. It is supposed to be a joke, a prank on the sleeping person, although it may result to obvious injury, if the person does not immediately wake up from the fire in between the fingers (which is the "funny" part, when forcefully waking up in surprise). This, again, occurs in the country of Greece.
