Rabbi Meir Kahane was a radical
Zionist author and lecturer, born in
New York City in 1932. In 1968 Kahane founded the militant
Jewish Defense League, which still trains Jewish boys in
martial arts in order for them to "defend" their people against
Arabs and
African Americans. Kahane was a member of the Israeli
Knesset, representing the
right-wing Kach party from 1984 to 1988. In 1987 he founded the
Yeshiva of The Jewish Idea in
Jerusalem. In 1990, while lecturing in New York City at a meeting calling for the mass
immigration of
American Jewry to
Israel, he was assasinated by
El Sayed A Nosair.
Books by Kahane:
Kahane's work brims with
vitriol,
racism,
hate, and occassionally justified
paranoia.
The official website of the Kahane inspired Kahane Chai ("Kahane Lives") organization is at www.kahane.org. Don't go there though, because they will conquer your browser with pop up ads and they don't present any useful information anyway.
