Now-defunct Internet company formerly located in
Santa Barbara, CA. A five-year-old company founded by
Andre Durand, then acquired by
Online Systems Services, Inc. (later
Webb Interactive Services, Inc.) of
Denver, CO.
The company's two most notable products were MindWire, an Internet applications server (kind of a BBS for the Internet) and CommunityWare, an Internet service supporting many virtual communities with online conferencing, chat, Web page hosting, and other services. (The CommunityWare concept still thrives as part of Webb's AccelX product.)
