stupid questions some
Americans ask
Filipinos who go to the
U.S.. I used to
not believe that people really asked these things, but when my brother went there, he was asked the question above. Similar questions include "
Do you have roller skates in the Philippines?" and "Philippines?
Isn't that an American protectorate?" the last one asked by a
Harvard graduate, no less.
This may be excusable if it weren't for the fact that: 1.) The Philippines was an American colony early in this century. And 2.) There are a large number of Filipinos in the U.S..
