I was born in Wichita, Kansas, and lived there until the age of 2. After that, my dad joined the foreign service, and we soon moved to Washington, DC. Because of his work, I've lived in Taipei, Taiwan; Beijing, China; Bahrain, this tiny island off the coast of Saudi Arabia in the Arabian/Persian Gulf; Guyana, in South America, and now live in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.

I've had various jobs at different points, but currently am only in high school, so a career's a ways off. However, for the past few years, I've realized that economics is probably the field for me: it's multidisciplinary nature suits me, as I think I'm pretty good at a number of things but don't encroach on genius level on any of them.

Other important things.... well, I have varied musical taste, but if I had to choose a favourite, I'd say classical jazz would probably be it. That having been said, my playlist includes everything from Bach to Barenaked Ladies to Korn to Sinatra. In an oddly related note, I enjoy cooking, especially 'fine foods', because I find them interesting and artistic and expressive.

Generally speaking, I'm an opinionated person. I think I've seen a fair amount of the world, I've met interesting people and I've heard of, and experienced, a number of different ideas and methods of thinking. Everyone's entitled to their opinions, and, for better or for worse, I act like I'm entitled to assert mine.

Athletically, I play rugby and hockey, but also ride my bike and run.
