Physicians for Social Responsibility is an organization of over 20,000
doctors and
medical health professionals allied to educate their colleagues about the dangers of nuclear power, nuclear weapons, and nuclear war. The international umbrella organization of PSR, International
Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War won the
Nobel Peace Prize in 1985.
Currently, PSR's main concerns are the environment and health, violence prevention (particularly gun violence), and nuclear and security issues.
