It worked fine in his old gig, handling sports updates for CNN Headline News - a two-minute voiceover, and his OTT style was a nice respite from the calm, measured tones of the rest of the newscast. Now he's on-camera, and for a full hour; he's the annoying guy at the frat party you got talked into attending. Thanks to the magic of channel surfing, I can leave.
