Well, it could be considered "UnAmerican" to think of
America as only the
United States. America includes the
North and
South American
continents, and the
Caribbean. In fact, I've met several people from other countries in America who
resent our usage of the word "America" interchangeably with the concept of the "United States".
I agree with the fact that we value diversity, or vertical blocks of diverse, distinct cultures (as opposed to the melting pot). However, I think that "Un-United-States" ideas and actions include those which could destroy the country. Things such as selling political influence to the Chinese, etc. may be against the best interest of the Untied States.
