Don't turn away in disgust just yet. If you're like me, then you love canned food. And if you're still willing to resemble me in character, then you also love eating easy, protein rich meals out of a single bowl. Sounds like you?
Here's what you'll need:
1 Can baked beans in tomato sauce (alternatively President's Choice makes a great can-o-beans in barbecue sauce... I am currently enjoying such a tuna-bean-mac.)
1 Can flaked light tuna
1 Package macaroni and cheese
1 stalk of broccoli (optional)
Boil four cups of water in a pot, salt and add broccoli. Let it all boil for 5 minutes, then add the macaroni. Boil until tender. Drain. Lower the heat. Add the cheese powder, beans, and a bit of milk to help it all dissolve. Stir. Drain the tuna, add it and stir. Let it all get warm put it in a big bowl and dig in.
Now if you've managed to finish it, (you should have 2 very reasonable portions) your sodium may have skyrocketed but you've just consumed about 5.5 g of fibre, and 22.5 g of protein per serving. Now sit. You're going to be very bloated.
