Seven Dials is a street junction in
Camden,
Greater London. It is named for the
monument in the centre, which bears seven
sundials around its top. The monument was done up a few years back, and unveiled by the
Queen of the
Netherlands.
Earlham Street leads north-west to
Cambridge Circus, and
St Martin's Lane runs south toward
Charing Cross and the
Coliseum.
Covent Garden is to the south-east. Once, the area was infamously disreputable, but in recent years it has improved somewhat.
