Forest of Radnor which forms its centre. Adjacent counties are: to the south

Principal towns include Llandrindod Wells, Rhyader and the village of Llanelwedd (a suburb of Builth Wells, Brecknockshire) where the annual Royal Welsh agricultural show is held.
