h4x0r

A h4x0r, prounced lamer, is a 31337 punk who thinks that is a hacker. A h4x0r is not a real hacker, but rather a silly little teenage punk cracker. The term came from those who abuse English by replacing letters with numbers.

The term h4x0r, (not necesarily pronounced lamer) originates when bored computer genii felt it necesary to confound the newer users by introducing a new style of writing to plain text. When utilities that hackorized your writing did it become non-cool to do so.

Compare to graffiti you might see on the wall at the subway as opposed to normal writing.
