Much like
Dilbert's term
constructive incompetence. In
lieu of trying to explain this
concept,
I offer into the record this excerpt from a website on
peer-to-peer networking terminology (www.exocortex.org/p2p/terminology.html):
Network - a collection of nodes and edges
Node - a component of a network where edges meet
Edge - a component of a network that connects two nodes together
Hmm. Each term is defined in terms of the other two, and between the three of them they tell you a grand total of ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. I'm sure that there are plenty more examples of this type of thing to be found in marketroid-bollocks types of publication the world over. Sigh.
