smothered in cake

my shoulders drop

allowed so much more than I dared to ask

he and I

he and I

he and I

somehow coexisting

a cup drained and refilled

dancing on the edge

I am capable

my lover let the fire burn

a delightful surprise

that when I catch moths

none leave the glow untouched

with permission to shine

and drenched head to toe

my heart explodes

I dissolve into goop

catch my grin in the rearview

in the evenings I am swimming

99% humidity and I'm eating

it is never enough

A sticky film covering
every available
piece of skin.
Little beads joining,
dripping, dropping,
wicking energy away.

Good thing then
I was already inclined
to move oh so slowly.
Taking in every sound,
every scent,
that finds itself as
trapped in this wet
as I am.

This sticky slick heaven.
