This is not the official E2 CSS manual, but I hope it fills a need until something official comes out. It will explain CSS and it's use here on E2, and get you started on creating your own E2 style sheets. Be warned, though, that it is not 'for dummies'.
I am on a mission, a bungling attempt to learn Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) and make an E2 Zen theme. I will get lost in the jungle, bump into trees in the dark, fall off cliffs and get chased from caves by huge rolling boulders.
I will stop at strategic points along the way to summarize my lessions and add links to them below. The softlinks will point to other explanations of CSS.
The purpose and concept of CSS and HTML as applied to E2
How to try out the Zen theme and the growing list of experimental styles that are already under development
How to act like you know what you're doing for a few minutes through a brief hands-on demonstration of what CSS can do and how a style sheet is written. How to create a very basic E2 Zen theme.
How CSS is written. How to expand and tweak your basic E2 Zen theme.
How to do everything that can be done to a small part of the page.
