Dharamsala (also Dharmsala) is a city in mountainous north-central India. It has been the home of the Dalai Lama, the Tibetan government, and many Tibetans ever since the takover of Tibet by China.

In popular culture, it made a small appearance in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
