The
Kleenex of
castration tools based on the
concept of simply
crushing the
spermatic
cords so as to
instantly (and quite
painfully) cut off the
blood supply to the
testicles, much like the
elastrator but
much more instantaneous. It is probably less
painful in the long run, and the
scrotum remains intact, but it
has the notable
disadvantage, in the case of
voluntary castration, of being
irreversible once it's
applied.
This fact might also pose a
problem to a
farmer who
castrates while
drunk and suddenly realizes the next day that he's made his prized
stud into a
gelding.
Oops. Also, if done
incorrectly to oneself, it can cause lots of bad
internal hemmoraging
from the
cords not being properly
sealed off (the clamp apparently
pinches them
shut at the new ends).
